~ Motion control manufacturer appoints Houston Associates for PR campaign ~

Delta Tau, the motion control company behind projects as diverse as the UK's nuclear particle accelerator and the Titanic movie set, is launching a media relations campaign to reinforce its position as the global benchmark in precision motion. PR Week top-fifty technology specialist Houston Associates will manage the campaign.

Houston Associates will focus on trade media relations from August 1, 2004 and Ian Houston, account manager, will lead the project. "Delta Tau is a really interesting prospect," enthused Houston. "There is a lot of common ground between the company and many of our existing clients. Furthermore, given that the Delta Tau has over 100,000 motion control installations worldwide, there are certainly some good stories to tell." Delta Tau has worked on projects ranging from grinding the corrective lenses for the Hubble Deep Space Telescope to replicating ocean wave patterns to predict shoreline erosion. "Some sectors of Delta Tau's press are difficult to target but the company's products lie at the heart of many fascinating and newsworthy stories," said John Houston, managing director. "It is such challenges as this one in which we excel."
